Ugh!!!
So, I'm trying to tune this 200... and the new carb that I bought for it... and I'm having a problem at idle. So, I google some info on the autolite 1100 1 barrel, and come across a website dedicated to the rebuild of the carb... but something was different. In the photo, there is a power valve on one side of the carb, one that my old carb did not have and I had naturally dismissed the empty threaded hole in the new one... Well, wouldn't you know? I'm pulling vacuum from the threaded hole... hence, it appears as though I need a power valve to plug the hole and hopefully satisfy my woeful idling problem. Sure enough, however, I can't find any information of what was supposed to be in there as far as type and vacuum readings. So, would anyone know of this info? I have a couple of Holley valves that plug right into the hole... but I'd rather be certain than guess and waste another day freezing my butt off trying to tune a car that has the wrong equipment... Thanks! |
