Default drivetrain vibrations on 94 gt

hello, I just got my car out from winter storage. At 80-85 mph I am noticing a large vibration comming though the shifter handle. It feels like the drive shaft or u-joints may be bad or out of balance, and body ever expeirience this before?? thanks a lot, Scott

Well it could be the u-joints, or it could be the drive shaft is out of balance, or it could just be that you need to tighten the bolts that hold the drive shaft on. Most likely in my past experiences it's been the bolts and the use of thread locker before I tighten them keeps them from working loose.

my buddy had an 1989 gt and he complained of the same vibration that u have described. He installed an aluminum driveshaft and new u joints and it fixed the problem.

Did it sit on the tires while stored? If so, probably just flat spots on tnem, and should work themselves out in time. Mine does that after it sits a few weeks, especially if it's cold.

If the problem didn't exist before you stored it, it's hard to believe a hard part, a drive shaft, U-joint, etc would all of a sudden go bad.
