73 Mustang Boy Is Exactly Correct on the procedure of Correctly bench bleeding the new unit. The only comment that I would make is that the new or rebuilt unit may not have come with the fittings described. If it does not you could do 1 of 2 things.

#1. Goto to just about any good Auto parts store and ask for the bleed kit, which will include the fittings and two probably clear bleed hoses. -OR-

#2. If you have some old blake lines laying around (preferrable the flexible type) you can use them and save your self the trip to the parts store and the approx. $5-$10 price of the bleed kit.
