Question Boss 351 buildup...

Does anyone here have experience with the 351C?

I have recently aquired a 73 Mach 1 with a 351C.

It would seem, through extensive research, that the engine
in this car has been built close to Boss 351 specs.
Its a 4 bolt main block. 11-1+ compression ratio.
4v heads. Torker 351 high rise man. Crane Fireball 302A cam.
the list of parts goes on.

I, not having too much hands on wrench pulling, am a little
lost in how to make this car run a little better than it does.
Its runnning a little hot - my solution was to run a higher octane fuel mix, say 102? Timing?
Its a bit sluggish or boggy of the line. Timing? Stall Con?

Any advice to putting this baby back on the street / strip
would be appreciated.

I look forward to being a part of this Mustang Message Board!!!

Thanks,

brenT

Since its a Mach I guess keep the C motor in it.

Every 351C I ever had ran hot.

I always look at timing / vacum advance first for a sluggy motor. You may have some highway gears causing slow start also.

Anyway welcome and post often, no one knows everything thats why were here

Default Descartes?

Mike , have you been studying Descartes? He's the French philosopher that said "I think, therefore I am". I believe that's right anyway. LOL.
