Colvin,
Sorry I didn't catch your original post. The sure fire way to find out what your car is, is to trace the dataplate info. Look on the driver's side door (it's still there on a 68 isn't it?) and copy all that info down. Once you "decode" the numbers you'll have a nice concise list of the options the 68 came with. I could be wrong but I believe the Sprint models were all 66 6 cylinders. The data plate info will tell you whether it's a GT or not. There are decoders on the net as well as a link to one just a few posts down. Hope this helps and congrats on the find.

Hmmmm. Can someone else help us out here? Colvin, you might want to also check some of the Mustang books at some of the bookstores. I know there are various identification books that might help you narrow down what options the 68 GT's came with and how to identify them. Can you post your data plate info? I am not insinuating that you decoded anything wrong - but I have some friends that might be able to help us with this. We'll get it figured out.

You can get a detailed build record for free from Ford 800.392.3673 Here is a sample report: http://www.fomoco.com/index.asp?Dept...es&Tool=Letter
If you're willing to spend a couple of bucks, you can get production information for your car from: http://martiauto.com/
I've seen one post where a restorer could verify that the marti report was more accurate than the ford report.
