Rev, thanks for your reply. Another question. There are no leaks so I suppose it is the master cylinder. I have two repair manuals, a Chilton's and a Haynes. The Haynes indicates that I have to remove the switch from the brake pedal and slide the pushrod, washers and bushes from the brake pedal pin. The Chilton's indicates only that I need to disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder, remove the nuts connecting the master cylinder to the booster and pull the thing out. Which is correct? If I don't have to mess around under the dash that is OK with me. Thanks again. E
