![]() Hey, just wondering if anybody has and what the difficultly is. I guess the trans wont shift out of gear. (I would just plan on pretty much replacing all internals???) Is it also an easy change (or good idea) to mess with the gear ratios and stuff? What are normal cost of this kind of thing? Thanks guys.
------ by the way, I like to tear crap apart and learn! (like my engine!)

![]() I rebuilt my 4 speed toploader for about $375.00 about 1 1/2 years ago. It was not nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be. I believe the place I got everything was toploaderheaven.com He was very helpful and provided detailed pictures for every step of the installation. All the tools were also provided and phone support as needed. I would do it again without hesitation. Good Luck!

![]() Well, I'll be rebuilding a t5, but im sure alot will be the same. $375 isnt bad at all for a brand new transmission. Thanks for the input.
