'65 side scoop decorations
My father and I have a '65 Mustang with the chrome side scoops. We were recently at a classic car auction and noticed that only some of the Mustangs of roughly that year had side scoops on them. Most had nothing and were just painted as if there was never anything there and one had the same as mine and another had a different design of scoop. Instead of just the scoop part it had little streaks coming from the front and into it. (I hope you know what I mean). Does anybody know what was supposed to be on this car?

The 65 has the crome side scoop style. The 66 has a similar trim piece but it has the three fins comming out tward the front. The side trim is deleted (along with other trim) for GT models. So a standard 65 will have the crome scoop style trim.
