EFI 351W How fast should it go?

Just finished up putting a 351W into my mint 89 hatchback
I was just wondering if anyone could give me a guess on power output and how fast it might go? I'm in Canada and things are shut down up here for the winter

351W, AFR 185cc, 10:1comp, roller Crane Cam w/220/228@.050 .542/.563 lift, TFS 351W Intake, Crane roller rockers, 30# injectors, 75mm TB and Mass Air, BBK 1 3/4" long tubes, T-5, 3.55s, McCreary G-60s, subframe connectors. It doesn't seem to pull top end like it should, the AFRs still have the stock springs that are rated at .550" lift, but i measured and there is no coil bind, whats up? On the G-Tech Pro it said i only ran a 12.95 @114mph, i think it should be faster than that.

With the engine in your signature I would be pissed if I didnt get deep in the 11's.

High-mid 11's should be easy money IMO,

Are you getting enough fuel to the motor?? Fuel injector size or pressure may be part of the problem.

Sucks that the tracks are closed down, now I gotta wait to test out my Stang next spring. DAMN WINTER!!!!

Injectors are 30#, 190lph intank pump, fuel pressure is a guess at best. I have it set at around 38psi and timing at 15*. The car pulls like a rocket out of the hole, I was wondering if i should swap gears to 3.73 or 4.10s. Any suggestions coments on the car in gerneral?

Where are you in Canada?

Hello, sounds like you have a cool combo. I believe you should be at least a 12.0 car maybe as fast as a mid 11 sec. at sea level but, weather, traction, driving habits etc, play a huge role. Not to say that you not a good driver, but just keep practicing your driving, all of us could do better with practice, even John Force. But what do I know? As goes for your gearing, I would put in 4.10 gears, and hope for at least a 1.6 to a low 1.7 60-foot. Before I forget I would replace those valve springs to support like.600 lift. Just because you don't see coil bind doesn't mean there are the right springs. Need to check your seat pressure and open pressure to make sure they are good enough for that cam. You could be floating the valves on the top end and not really know it! I would check the springs before you hurt something that really costs a lot more then just replacing valve springs.
Good luck

get it dyno tuned :)

Up here in Canada, i'll have to travell 12hrs to the nearest chassis dyno to get it done. Brandon is right smack dab in the middle of The Great White North. I was thinking of bringing a dyno into my shop though, those things pay for themselves!

Now, Now. Brandon isn't that far North. I'd guess the middle to be somwhere north of the Pas.

There is a fair amount of land above the arctic circle. Quite more than people think. It just all looks the same! LOL
