Carb Cleaner

I have an old holley 1850 that I got from a friend for $35. It has, of course, seen better days. It is very blackened and dirty, and I was just wondering what is the best carb cleaner I can get for it? I have rebuilt a few carbs in my day, and I have tried many different solutions but they all tend to suck. I can't help but think there is a better way. I am looking for a solution that I can dip my carb in over night or for a day. Price isn't too much of an issue, but I don't want to get too crazy with it either. About $10-$20 is what I want to spend. Also, the carb I have on right now has an electric choke. I want to convert it back to the manual choke. Where is the best place to get the cable and the bracket for the inside of the car? The carb that I bought already has the manual choke on the side of it, so I don't have to worry about finding that. You can get it at a lot of automotive stores. I've used it many times on my rebuilds. It's a pretty nasty chemical though and if you have people that live around you that dont like solvent type smells, they might complain If you've ever seen Erin Brochavich,....its got that Hexavalent Chromium stuff in it. So you must be careful. Works like a charm and it's the best cleaner I've come accross!! But remember, whatever you end up getting,....use safety equipment,..gloves, proper ventilation, eye protection, etc.

For the carb, you'll probably need to pour the liquid into a plastic bucket or one of those dishwashing tubs you'd use for camping. The stuff is totally reusable, just wash the parts off in a garage sink and dry em off.
I'm not to sure about the interior linkages for the choke, maybe someone else will speak up soon.
