carb problems
I have a 66. 200 6 and I hate the carb. I have choke issues as well as idle issues, I want to get a better one ( I have the 1V right now) I would like to get one that would give me more power and less hassle.

Re: carb problems
you can go with a remanufactured ford autolite 2100 from advanced auto i just bought a remanufactured Autolite 4100 from them works well. it would give you both. they have electric and manual choke.

Re: carb problems
Here's what you do. Get yourself a nice little 289 and swap it in. You can take apart the 200 and use the cylinder bores to grow some flowers, vegetables, etc.

Re: carb problems
Im having the same problem with mine and I was told that you can get a carb from a 72 stang 250cid and will work better and the only thing you have to do is bore out the spacer plate to make room for the butterfly to move probably and switch the linkage around.

Re: carb problems
Yeah, sounds like your engine is done for. Better opt for that 302 or 289. (just kidding)

Re: carb problems
Well, I was only half joking. The 289 IS always an option, ya know? But if you like the I6, that's perfectly fine also. In any case, good luck with your Mustang.
