![]() i just rebuilt my carb its a autolite 2100 i followed the intructions got it all back together and back on the car it worked just fine. i changed the oil sparke plugs distributor cap and rotor and plug wires. now it will start but has a hard time doing so. i fiddle with fast idle rod so that it starts ( its really really tight by the way have to use a little force to push it down or up) once its starts it runs perfect until you let the gas off then it just dies completly. did i do sime thing wrong or is it just an adjusment that i need to make?

![]() If it worked just fine before you swapped out plugs, wires, cap, and rotor... my guess would be that something in there is the problem. Perhaps the wire going to the condensor is grounding out or maybe you have a couple wires crossed... maybe the gaps are off.
Don't touch anything else in the carb until you double check your tune up, especially if it ran fine before you did the other swaps. |

![]() Check the solenoid too... is it clicking? Battery might have enough juice to crank it, but not turn it over...
