Believe it or not alot of people see the choke tube coming out of the exhaust and think it must be taping into straight exhaust. Not so, it is only suppose to take hot air up to the choke.
If you visit a local NAPA you can find what they call a "choke stove kit" this will fit most exhaust manifolds and take the place of the exhaust manifold with the tube. This is what I am using with my shorty headers.
