Converting TO a C4
Hey guys, I am doing the opposite of most, so I am hoping someone can help out still. I have a 66 coupe that I am swapping out a 3 speed manual for a C4. My problem lies in the kickdown. First, can I just fashion a piece of flat steel off the accel rod and attach the kickdown cable to that? I heard that in 1966 the kickdown came off the manifold and was a rod, not a cable. Second, I am now going to have an extra pedal inside. Is there a way to just remove the clutch pedal..easily? Of am I gonna need to pull the whole hangar out and try to buy a new one with just a brake pedal.
Anyone out there going C4 to T5 or toploader and wanna swap parts maybe? |
