Default Cowl vents

I am starting to restore my 66 coupe and want to know if you can tell me how to repair the cowl vents on it. It leaks when it rains.

Whole article on cowl repair at http://mgfx.com/Mustang/Articles/tips014.htm
Good luck, it took me several evenings to get the cowl cover off and a friend several hours to replace the welds.

A word of caution for the totally unexperienced (like me). When you use the spot weld cutter to take out the spot welds you should only cut through the top layer of sheet metal. Until I learned better, I cut through both layers of metal which added a lot of time to the welding and grinding process.
Also you will need to remove the windshield. I did a write up of this and could send it to you.

You probably have a cowl leak but you may want to check the windshield seal. By accident I found out that my "cowl leak" was actually coming through the windshield molding. Just a thought.
