Default Did It!

Well, I finally got it done. Put the new Edelbrock Performer heads, cam, water pump, timing chain, etc, on my 302 - '67 coupe. I previously had the Edelbrock intake and carb on it. Wow, what a difference! I love the nice rumble (or is that lope?) and it does want to run. I think that my stock C4 may be a bit weak for the engine so the next step is to get the transmission rebuilt and pack a bunch of bands and clutches into it. My wife wonders where it will end. I suppose it will end when I have rebuilt the whole car and then it will be time to start over - if she doesn't kill me first. E.

Sweet! Did you make your engine compartment look all sweet while you had the engine out? Post some pics! Those Edelbrock heads looks like some sweet heads to me. Good luck with the wife!

Well, I tried to keep things compatible and as simple as possible. The heads are Edelbrock #60239 which are 1.90/1.60. The cam that was recommended as a match for these heads and intake was the Edelbrock Performer-Plus #2122 so that is what I got. I was not looking for something to take to the track but I did want something with respectable street performance and I think that I have it. Also, I really like the way it sounds. E.
