disc brakes
 
hello,
i am in the middle of restoring a 66 mustang coupe and was wondering if anyone can tell me the best route to take to change over to disc brakes.i've seen kits but they are way out of my price range.any help would be appreciated thanks

for the rear brakes i got mine off of a 85 lincoln versiles, took the mounting plate off the 8 inch rear end tube and welded it on my 9 inch and they work very well, alot better than the ole drummers. hope this helps ya...

I'm Pretty Sure I Have An 8 Inch Rear End Will I Still Have To Weld It.thanks Alot For Your Help

well i had to cut them off, because they are welded to the 8 inch diff from factory. i bought the whole rear end and just cut the tubes and peeled the tube back from the brackets to get a true fit to my 9 inch tube..

I got a front kit (Granada) from Jim's Mustang in El Cajon Ca. Included all new parts except rebuilt calipers and good used Granada spindles. Everything else was new, Cost me about $650, but that was several years ago.
