Re: NOVI 1000 big enough???
Dark, let me tell you what I got and the numbers I put out...maybe it'll help put you into perspective to where you want to go with HP numbers:
DSS Pro Bullet 331 stroker motor (I actually don't know the cam) AFR 185s GT40 intake 8.5:1 compression I'm running between 10 and 12 psi on my Novi 1000, and I made 541 rwhp, and 557 rwtq. As a sad, side note, I launched this sucker with a Tremec 3550 at the track on slicks at about 3500-4000 RPMs. Let's just say the input and output shafts on that thing were floppin' all around after 2 launches. As not to scare you, my tremec was at least 6 years old (I've replaced it with a TKO600) Before this setup, I also had a GT40 crate motor (302 ci) with 10:1 compression. I ran just 5 psi on the same Novi 1000 and I put out 408 rwhp and 395 rwtq. I hope that helps! |
