Edelbrock RPM Package

Is anyone out there running an Edelbrock RPM package on a 351 Windsor?

I would like to share some comments and double check some issues.

My engine. .030 over 351 Windsor 1970 Block. Forged rods, Forged 9-1 pistons. inches (1262S Felpro Gasket)

TFS/TW heads. Ported to 2 1/8 x 1 5/16 2.02 intake 1.6 exhaust
RPM dual plane
RPM Cam installed straight up
1.6 Roller Tip Rocker Arms
Modified Holley 750 Carb
32 degrees max advance
Crane Hi-6 and PS-71 Coil
Shortie headers
2.5 inch dual exhausts with crossover
Edelbrock RPM high flow mufflers
C4 Automatic
3.25 Posi rear end.

If you are running an edelbrock RPM package I would like to know what your ET's are with whatever gear and transmission you are using.

What is your gas mileage?

What is your running temperature?

What is your overall impression of the package?

Not sure of your cam specs, but I'm willing to guess that its a Low To Mid Range cam. With the C4 ratio's though, I'd go for a little Lower Rear Gear. Sounds like a sound package. Also, not knowing your cam specs, its hard to say if your carburated right or not.

Cam specs are 224/234 duration at 0.050 lift. .496 lift on intake and .519 lift on exhaust.

Good vacume, runs with my 2000 rpm stall converter, and it is running HOT. I am going to have to try a radiator with offset inlets and outlets cause this old ford designed radiator just stinks.

I am going to try to go with a wider radiator and cut my opening to match. I could pick up 20-25% more airflow that way.

I would agree with you that this is a street and highway cam, but I would describe this as a street rod cam. Upper RPM power is substantial with the Trick Flow ported heads. CFM flow is 279 on the intake and 255 on the exhaust at the rated lift. This yields 425 hp at the flywheel and about 355 hp at the rear wheels at 6,500 RPM.
