Will a 429 fit in a '66?

I belive the answer is no based on some other Stanger's. The biggest will be a 351 unless you modify the engine bay. Correct me if I'm wrong Rev.

You should at least try it, try dropping the motor in and see what needs (if any) to be cut/modified. You might as well being you already have the motor, and if it does fit you'll have a badass motor setup. DO IT!

It should go in a 67-68 car without too much problem. I seem to recall some people doing 460's in these cars, and its the same block. So if you are still looking for the car to go with the engine you might change years. But otherwise you are in for a lot of work.

The ONLY way you will get that engine to fit is to replace the front suspension with that of a Mustang II front end.

You should find something stupid to put it in, like a chevette/pinto or osmething smaller like a Nash, I saw one at a car show. It was a convertable (Creme color), it was tubbed with a 502, it wasn't very badass, OH WAIT! Plus if it's cheap you won't mind cutting it up and you'll have a fast car for fairly cheap and smoething different. I thought about putting something big in a chevette, but I still need to figure out what I'm doing with my 86 Mustang GT, I have a 429 in the machine shop but I keep wanting to do too much and spend too much $$$.
