Engine noises
When ever I drive my 69 coupe in the rain, there is a hissing noise coming from the engine. I figure it is from the sealing, but it only happens when it rains? Any suggestions are welcome.

Joel, does this happen when the car is sitting still? If it only happens when it is moving in the rain your just getting water on the engine somehow. Try washing the car with the engine runing and spray water up underneath to see if you can duplicate the noise.

It happens when I am sitting at lights too. I turn down the stereo and I can hear the hissing. I wilol try the technique with the water and tell you how it goes.

I'm just glad that we actually have some rain around here to cause a problem. Good luck.
