Motor mounts

A friend of mine tore up one of his motor mounts and is looking for a solid mount.Is there any good places that sell these mounts for a 67.Its a 302.

Lakewood makes motor mounts for it. They aren't solid but are made from polyurathane. Totally stronger. A trick I do with rubber ones is I drill a hole in the motor mount a stick a bolt & nut on it. Makes a real solid peace. Hard to break haven't done it yet. Before this the engine was jumping 3 inches and breaking the motor mounts. The lakewood's are available from summit for around 50 bucks a side.

You're gonna have a lot of vibration with solid mounts. Is this a street driven car or just the track? Some put a restraining chain on the left side from the motor to the frame to restrict the torque engine movement. Just a thought.

Its called a torque strap. Made by Art Morrison. Comes with the tubing and spherical rod ends. The tube is cut to lenght, the rod ends are welded in. One end bolts into a vacant threaded hole in the head, the other to a bracket welded on the frame rail. That motor will not move. If you would like a photo e-mail me...

Thanks guys. I think he's gonna try the bolt thru the mount trick. Its a street car and he's on a budget right now so the new style mounts may have to wait for a couple of weeks. Thanks again.
