Re: Engine Test stand
Back when I was a kid, many moons ago, salvage yards (junk yards) would fire up engines out of the car for perspective buyers to observe them running before a purchase. These engines were mounted to wooden frames made from timbers about the size of rail road ties bolted together with the engine bolted to these frames.
Seems like it would be pretty easy to make one of these for a provisional engine stand. I did see engines run on these things a long time ago.
