Turbo???

Hey guys, I have been kicking around the idea of getting a supercharger for my Cobra for a while. I am going down to the speed shop THIS WEEKEND, so time is short. I talked to my buddy, 1998 GT (no, that's what he drives, I don't talk to cars) and he told me to check out Turbo Driven Concepts. I looked, and I have to say, that looks like a great deal. Any thoughts?? Thanks guys!

Turbos are great but they can be pricy. That and they realy should be installed by a pro. Personlay I would go with a KennyBell. They give you car some much needed low end power, can handel a lot of boost, and are much easier to install so you save on installation. Just my opinion.

Well, I don't know enough about engines to feel comfortable installing after market mods, so I will go with a pro no matter what I do. KennyBell, huh? I'll look into it! Thanks!

No problem. If you want to know more about tubros a guy called
TURBO99 has on in his 99 GT. He will tell you all about it. But I don't think money is an object to him when it comes to his car. Man I wish I could be like that.

The TDC base Stage 1 kit puts out less power than comparatively priced superchargers. Now if you want to lay out the cash for a Stage 2, you're looking at serious power at a serious price.

If money IS an object, I suggest a Procharger or Vortech kit...

I would go with the turbo setup if you have the money for the kit and the install they can make more power per pound of boost cause your not wasteing power on spinning the supercharger but they do make more heat but get a intercooler which I think comes with most kits and you can change the boost by the turn of a knob or push of a button(depending on the type of boost controler).

Ok, I looked it up online and I am taking out a loan soon for my schooling (medical). With that loan I will have some money (which in reality should be used for food, but who needs to eat?). I will be able to afford TDC Stage 2. But that would be all I could to for right now. So if I go with that much HP (they say up to 550) I will just keep the boost low until I can work on the IRS and what not. Good plan? Haha, when I get this Cobra all fixed up, maybe some flames would look good

. I figure, if I'm going to spend money on the engine, get a good deal done at once and with a kit that has been proven to work together. I don't want any possible compatibility issues. Oh yeah, if you think I'm insane for putting in stage 2, tell me now. These are the last months of me not living in reality

You'll do a hell of a lot more then suprise him with a TDC stage 2. I would defenitly get your toys now wile you can. Once the wife comes your family will pry be you top priority. But any way congradulations and hope she's worth it. (jk)

. My wife became tired of arguing with me over mods and events that now she hangs out up at the shop every now and again and goes to the races. She booked the hotel for the Modular shootout at Cecil County Maryland
