Default flang type 3rd member?

Does anyone know if the rear end housing w/ a flang type 3rd member will bolt to a u-joint type 3rd member.

No, but you may be able to have a machine shop drill the flange. Saw this on some site where the guy was putting a 8.8" into a classic Mustang.

if you ARE putting an 8.8 in an early car... you could just take the flange part off of a late model driveshaft...measure each side of the U-joint.. and match it up.. I had to get weird u-joint every time I broke a 9in carrier... always had a different yoke...
