FMX to C4 Tranny Exchange for a 69
I am restoring my 1969 mustang (with some modifications). It has a 351W with an FMX transmission. I am making mods to the engine, and since I have had many problems with the transmission, I thought I'd change it over to a B&M C4 at the same time. I am changing out the transmission, the torque converter, and the flexplate. Is there anything else that needs to be done? Will the driveshaft need modifications? Are there any good sources of info for this operation?

depends on the year of the C4, might want to measure the distance from bellhousing to tranny moubt to make sure if it is the same length. Are you using the stock shifter? I had all kinds of probs when I put an fmx and 302 from a 69 in my 68.. for you it shouldnt be so bad... new tranny yoke..Call B&M and ask..they probably have one for your year of car..
