Question FORD letters on hood of 67

OK, new guy here, love the forum... but one quick question....
I recently purchased a 67 convertible ...200... all original except paint and top... now.. there are no ford letters on the hood.. If it helps, I don't have the indent blinker lights. There are no holes in the hood, and I need to keep the car "factory fresh" so don't want to add the letters if they are not supposed to be there.
Thanks in advance.. (I ordered the dealer package description from Ford, but not received it yet).

In 67 you should have the letters if you are tryign ot keep it original. When the repainted it, they probably just used a skin coat of bondo to close off the holes, or they might have welded up the holes. For a 68 it is correct, no letters, but a 67 should have them...

All the 67's I have seen have the lettering. You can't see holes on the underside of the hood, they go into the the reinforcing ridge at the front. I would bet that when it was painted the PO either didn't like the letters, or lost some of them along the way so decided to just close the hoels and be don't with it. I am doing the same thing with the running horse on the side of the fender and the the mustang script

67 had FORD in letters on hood. 68 didn't have FORD in letters on hood, with vents or without.

May have a '68 hood on your '67. Just a thought.

WOW, thanks for all the responses.. Looks like Im gonna order the letters. Makes sense since Im replacing all insignia on car (fenders, trunk) For a side note, only thing not original was radio, ran into previous owner tonight at show and he says "ya I still got that old a.m... worked when I took it out, come over and get it".. unbelievable ! that is the final piece. She will be ready for showing very soon. Only deduction is decals on engine have been replaced and new paint (orginal color of course).
thanks for all the help!
