Fuel Frustration - What do you use?
I owned a 66 in highschool when leaded fuel was still available
I just bought a 67 convertible last week, but you obviously can't get leaded at the pump. I have come upone 3 answers: 1. The local 'stang shop here told me to just put 87 octane. No need for lead additive. That just doesn't sound right to me. 2. I was figuring I would use 87 octane + a lead fuel additive. But maybe I should use 92 octane with lead additive? 3. I also read some stuff online published by Shell that says I should use higher octane gases without fuel additive I am getting frustrated. What do you guys use? |
