Default Header lenght

ok THis should be quick, I know that short headers help either the lower more end or the higher end more but cant remebr which. And i assume lond headers help which ever the short ones dont. And tri-y are suposed to be the best of both?

If that didnt make any sence say so, and I'll try to clarify.
