Question Headliner - back glass?

Hey guys

Does any body know if you have to remove the rear glass from a 72 mach to put in a new headliner. I know that some do but not exactly which year models.

I'm not sure about your model but I believe I read somewhere that with the newer classics you can leave in the front but need to remove the rear glass. If the original headliner is still in, it should be easy to tell. Does the headliner extend under the glass seal?

The originalheadliner is in, there is a piece of trim that runs along back glass facing toward the headliner thats intact so I'm not sure whats going on under there.

If the glass needs to come out I'm entertaning the notion of letting a pro do it. Last thing I need is to get to buy the glass due to some dumb accident on my part.

Any ideas on reference material that could hold the answer?
