I think I saw an article on headliner installation in a recent Mustang Monthly or Mustang and Fords mag that might help. Throw me an email if you don't mind ( I sometimes have trouble accessing this site) and I can probably dig up some info for you.

I did the headliner when I did the rest of the interior on my "66. Two good sources are "How to Restore your Mustang" and "Mustang Restoration Handbook". Also, the instructions that came with the headliner were good. Don't make the mistake that I did at first trying to do the headliner without removing the windshield and back glass. That made me do the job twice. A lot of extra work and a little extra money. Remove the seats and cover the carpet so as not to get weatherstrip adhesive on anything. It's difficult to get off. This isn't an easy job, but can be done well if your careful. The best part is that it is not expensive. Just read up and take your time to do a good job. Also, have someone handy when removing or
installing the windshield and back glass.
Good luck.
