black is to rich... sounds like the carb might be flooding..
what carb is on it? stock? try tapping on the carb with a screw driver handle in case there is dirt in the needle valve.. might need a rebuild though..

check for spark too.. if you have one of the plugs out, stick the wire on it and rest the spark plug on a fender, then crank it over and see if there is any spark at the gap.. OR stick a crew driver in the boot, and hold it near a body part and turn it over..

did you clean the plugs when you put them back in?
