Unhappy Well I did a compression test and it doesn't look goo for my Holley heads...

Well guys/gals I have been fighting the oil consumption problem for a while but I always blamed it on my hi-volume oil pump and my Holley cam which pulls very little vacuum. Most of my cylinders hold awesome compression 175psi+ but I had 2 that were low 80psi and 110psi, I found a piece of one of the oil seals in my return hole in my heads and most of the other seals aren't in theiore seats they are positioned either all the way at the top of the valve or 3/4 of the ways there. I have to call Holley tomorrow so I can get these things returned, which should be interesting since the heads I have aren't supposed to be out till this spring and I have had them since last April, I think I got them by accident, but I called Holley when I received them and they told me these were the better heads but mine have some issues.

Sorry to hear that. Well, at least you will be able to do some porting. How would the warranty work on that issue?

Hey Bowtiethe motor will be fine with a fixed set of heads on it. Like I said the compression test proved it was leaking through the valves the rings are fine, all my walls and cross hatching look great. My next motor which will be down the road since this on is still new, it will be a stroked 351 (408)

My91GTI just hope they send me my heads back fixed or the same part number9300-575 2.02 x 1.60), the motor only has 3000 miles on it and it has been less then 1 year Holley should stand behind their products. I know another guy with the Holley who had 7 bad valve guides they gave him a new set no questions asked.

Thumbs up

I called Holley and they are taking these heads back and are sending me brand new ones. They are covered under a full warranty for 1 year

That was one of the reasons they were coming off They flow pretty good numbers though 270 intake 168 exhaust, with the 2.02 valves I don't want them open up a lot more yet.
