Hi all I could use some tech advice!!
Hi all I have a 1966 stang with a 289.
Yesterday I started up car and got a Knock! It rises and falls with engine rpms. I checked the Push rods and rockers but they are ok. What is next item I should check? Would that be lifters? It has hydraulic lifters. Any advice on the steps I should take to diagnose would really help. Im learning to do this myself but need a little direction with this one! I greatly appreciate any help! SPEED KILLS! LIVE LONGER DRIVE AN IMPORT!!! http://home.attbi.com/~sixgunsix6/ws...ID-304603.html[/IMG] Last edited by 6stangster6; 09-02-2002 at 02:08 PM.. |

There are several points of wear that can produce engine knock. You're better off taking the car to a diagnostic shop and get professional opinion.

Hey, I see your from the bay area too. Either later this year, or next year I want to get a MW Cali area. Since I'm deployed right now, I want to wait till later.
