Default Hidden vacuum source

Hey all, i have another one of my weird quessies!
Today i started work with my dad, on my beast to find out why my heater is always on. amongst other things, found and corrected, we discovered a vacuum reservoir cannister in the passenger side wheel house. It is not connected to anything, but has two nipples for hoses? on the inside of the engine well. I would love to find out where it is supposed to be connected to!! Would it be the mannifold?. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance!

If it is the one i think you are talking about one side go to the manifold vacumn with a check valve inline and the other side go to the vacumn operated motor for you ac/heat blend door.
