Default Holley 1850C 600 cfm carb.

Ready to upgrade from stock 2 barrel to Holley 4 barrel. My Mustang guy swears by the 1850. Just wondering what you all think. Anybody using one?

Thanx y'all

I think that has a manual choke... to me, that is a little bit of an issue.

Other than that a vacuum secondary 600 CFM is a great carb. Buy a vacuum spring kit for a couple bucks and spend a Saturday afternoon playing with it to find what you like the best. I think you'll love it.

I used one for several years with good results. Mine had an electric choke that worked well. The only thing I can think of in it's disfavor was that mine was a 4160 rather than a 4150. That means that it has a secondary metering plate where the secondary jets are fixed and not replaceable for tuning purposes. Holley does make a kit however that converts the 4160 to a 4150 with the secodary metering block that does allow changing the secondary jets for more tuning ability.
