Hood Pin Placement
I have a 67 coupe that I am dropping off to be painted tomorrow night. I want to put hood pins on the car but I just realized that drilling through the new paint might not be a good idea. Can anyone tell me if its not a big deal or not? If it is, should I drill the holes before dropping the car off? If so, can anyone tell me where the proper placement and diameter is for the early model Shelby pins. I have not bought them yet, but this is my plan. If anyone has any advice on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Heavy tape
I think you can drill the holes OK after the new paint if you put heavy tape over the new paint and drill carefully through from the outside. Check with the shop that does the paint. I bet it will be OK to do that.
