Hood Scoops

i have a 70 stand with a 351 cleavland, im tite on a budget but i want to smoke everyone, would a hood scoop do any good?

I dont know how much of a help a hood scoop would be for the price. THe 351C were designed to be heavy breathers. The things that made the biggest difference in my stang were the things that helped that. ie. carb, manifold, exhaust, camshaft. THe heads have a lot of unused potential at stock setup

IMO, the above post is right about 351C. If you want to go fast, the scoop is a complete waste of money and time. If you want to look good, it will be great. I think scoops might be somewhat important if you were set up right for major drag competation, but remember, the high reving racing Boss 302 didn't have a scoop. Use your money elsewhere if you want speed. Remeber, this opinion is worth what you paid for it.
