Re: horn problems
It may be the contacts in the horn ring, or the horn ring may be loose.

Re: horn problems
thanks but I have checked that and it all looks good. I should also mention that I had to replace the steering wheel. ever since I did that I started with this problem. I was told that maybe i should pull the steering out a little, but Iam a little hesitant to do that.

Re: horn problems
Did you replace the harness before or after the steering wheel?

Re: horn problems
Did you install the spring when you changed the steering wheel??

Re: horn problems
yes I had installed the harness on before replaceing the steering wheel. I did install the spring on the steering wheel when I installed the new one.

What I eventually had to do on my '66 was to use the horn lead as a signal to a "new horn relay" that activated my new auto supply horn. Not exactly concourse correct, but it works perfectly and is very loud. Rev |
