Houston HRP, any old Fords 9/29/00?
Just wondered if anyone else was going to HRP Friday, 9/29/00? I'm gonna go to test out my new converter/shift kit now that we have cool weather. I'm the old guy in the '66 red coupe with black wheels and trim rings.

How did it run? I just got my dsl up and running again last night SWBell's router has been down for 2 weeks. If I had been able to get online to know I would have headed out I would like to see your car and run it.

Shaggy, I didn't do really well. Should have been a perfect night 75 F and not much humidity. I ran 14.004 @ 99 for my best run. Was hoping for 1 or 2 tenths improvement with the new TCI 2400 converter and the B&M shift kit. Didn't happen and I don't know why. Back to basics checking vac. secodary spring, compression, timing advance, etc, etc. The track was really crowded and there was an hour delay after someone lost it, hit the wall and then flipped upside down. Don't think he was hurt but it took a long time to clear the track and then clean it up. Maybe some Friday you, me, and Fivepoint0H can make it at the same time.

Rev, where you 60's the same as last time when I went from my 11 inch converter to my ten inch my 60's slowed down because I couldn't hook up as well anymore.I had to relearn how to drive my car once I got my 60's down I gained 2 tenths over my previous best.

Shaggy, at HRP, there's always so much rubber down and they're so liberal with the VHT, that I hardly spin much there. Usual 60' for me is 2.10-2.15. I actually believe I might do better if I spun a little more, getting my RPM up a little quicker. I spin max about 5-10 ft. and I'm hooked. 60' ft. is about like it has been there. Not much diff that I can see.
