how to lower car more???????

i was just wondering what other cheap ways to lower my 67 in the front. i already have the 1" drop contour coils and my tires still have tons of tread on them so i don't want to replace them. i don't want to spend a fortune on the upper control arms from total control products. i have seen articles about relocating the stock upper control arms. has anyone out there done anything like this. is it a safe way to go. thanks all in advance.

Relocating the upper control arms is a simple and defintely inexpensive way to drop an inch. Safety is not even an issue because the strength is the same, but is your car a 67 shelby? The reason I ask is some shelby's already have the upper control arms lowered.

You can lower the front more by just cutting 1/4 turn off the coil spring. On my 620's in my '66 coupe, this lowered the front another inch. My advice is to use a cut off wheel on a die gringer to cut the spring rather than a torch. Be careful with the spring compressor when removing the spring.
