Post stock 4.6 vs 92 coupe

????????????????????????????????????????????
my friends coupe ran 11.40 on motor in the hot texas heat. we took the car for a spin around town (it has freakin 3.5" exhaust). we were driving normal and a 4.6 convertable (slow?) pulled next to us patting the gas- what an idiot. i couldnt keep from laughing at him. so we played with him and spun our et streets through 2nd and 3rd gear. wonder why he lost?

If you'd meet White00GT you wouldn't say the same thing dude. 11.4 is fast ... specialy all motor ... props too your friend.

When you say slow? comperatively speaking yes... it is slow. But it is Ford's fasted Mustang GT ever built - stock

lizard king is right, although im grinning right now because i own a coupe, but hey these newer gt's are just in the begining stages of performance, and some guys are running damn good, but i can pull these new 4.6's, but i know eventually one will hand me my arse, just havent found the right, or wrong one.

Hey guys,
I didn't mean to start any animocity here, just defending the 4.6 engine. Many don't give it the respect it really deserves.

And yea, an 11.4 ET coupe would waste me (and most others) , but I'll run the SloAod for 2 rounds of beer...

I don't know the date right off 5.0. I know its not too far...

and SloAod, I'll buy 2 rounds for YOU if I lose... If that's a LOT of beer I'm wondering what size glass your using....
Your buddies will be on their own....

Hooters or Bone Daddy's might be a good stop by the way...

Of course, if the girls need some interesting conversation, who am I to deny them...

Let's just go to HRP this coming Fri., 5/18/01. I'm in a '66 Coupe candy apple red. We can just have a friendly race with you spotting me .5 seconds. Your 13.42 to my 13.97. If you win, I'll buy you a beer and congratulate you too. My car runs 13.95-14.00 and that's all I claim. I'd love to see a 13.42 mildly modded 4.6. Tht is if you can do it? Hee,hee. I'm the old fart inb the red '66 with the black rimms with chrome trim rings. All in good fun, but i will buy you (only you) a brew if you beat me by more than .5 seconds.

Thumbs up

Let's put it this way:
I have an open invitation for any member on this board.... If you meet me, I'll buy you a brew. Race or no race....

As far as racing:
1. It has to be on a track
2. the winner gets 2 brews from the loser's wallet
3. On street legal tires
4. The ET's between the 2 vehicles have to be close enough to be some competiton for each other, or else some time spotting will need to be involved

5. WE HAVE FUN DOING IT!
(That's the point right?)

That's the rules I've used for about 2 years now and it's formed a lot of friendships....

Safe racing and good brews afterward...
It doesn't get any better than that

Jeeze, Hammer, all the "rules" sound OK, except for the "track only" BS. Bet you don't get too many takers. Too many "RULZ" is why some of us race more on the streets. Uh, this is "street racers corner" isn't it?
