Post how much $$$ for a mint 68 gt/cs?

my dad has a stock "SHOW CAR" 68 GT/CS (made by shelby) black, totally restored, it has a 289, c-4 & i was wondering how much $$ its worth.

My favorite comparison of price is to pick up a few issues of Hemmings motor news and compare prices. Then check a few issues (see if add retruns or not, not a perfect system) to see if they are selling at the asking price.

The Mustang price guide shows this car at $10,500 in top restored condition - there is a car this month in Hemmings matching then description of the one in this thread exactly, at an asking price of $11,400

Just another note - These cars were not actually made by Shelby (If they were the market $$ would be a lot higher) Shelby was contracted to do one of the concepts for this project, but it was ultimatly rejected by Ford. The design was done by a company called ACSCO in California, who also produced a lot of the unique styling parts on the car. Around 4,100 cars were built at the Ford San Jose plant in 68, making them a pretty rare peice today.
