Some of the obvious things to look for on a 69 or 70 Boss are it must be a sportsroof body, have a toploader 4 speed, if its a 69, it will not have the rear quarter scoop like the standard sportsroofs or Machs, the front fenders were slightly flared to fit the larger tires used, all had a 31 spline 9 inch rear with staggered shocks, a 16 to 1 steering box and most important the VIN # must have a G in the fifth digit which indicated the boss 302 motor - If this is a real and even reasonably complete Boss and you can get it for $1,000 run don't walk as this would be one hell of a deal !!! Incidently, there were less than 2,000 69's and around 6,000 70's made. Hope this helps

Let me know how you make out with this thing - hard to believe somebody would own one of these cars and not know what its worth.....but I have seen people pick up some great cars for amazing prices in the past, so you never know

Well there's a problem the vin tag i would say is not correct it's been messed with and it's an auto i think i might have to pass this one up i don't think it's real i'm not real smart about old stangs could it be a mach 1 rebadged?

To bad it was not a real boss, as I had previously mentioned it would have been a great find - around here basket cases needing everything go for 6 or 7 grand as long as the vin# and data plates are intact. It could be a mach or more likely a standard sportsroof that someone decided to make into a boss look alike. The value of a car like this is obviously a lot less than a boss and unless in pretty good overall shape, not worth pursuing
