Default I need some help and don't know where to post...

I have an 89' GT that seems to be running fine but the "low coolant" light started comming on. I will add maybe a cup of water to it, if I can get it in and it wold make the light go off for a little while. The light will come back on eventually. The car is not over heating or running hot at all. Any ideas? How about the thermostat not opening and letting water in? I would think that the car would over heat if that is the problem. Please help...Dean

Yeah... My mom had a 1988 Escort, the same thing happened to her, it was the sensor in the overflow tank that was bad.

The first time, they spent the $100 or so to get a new one... the second time, I pulled the plug.

Problem solved.
