Idle problem 88GT Speed Density

I hope someone out there can help me I had a low idle problem stalling with or without AC on (with AC on stalling out is almost a definte. So i heard that the best way to fix this problem is to drill a 1/4' hole in the butterfly on the throttle body, so I did now the idle is to high. I tried adjusting it down (the idle screw on the throttle cable) and it goes to 1200rpm and no lower and now the throttle feels sticky when first tapped. Any help would sure be areciated.

You did half the job. You drill the hole, and then insert threaded jets that restrict the size of the hole. Try either Ford, or your local hi po shop, and ask them where to get them locally.

Thanks for your help, I will investigate both options where can I find the steeda air adjuster? I went to the web site and that revealed nothing.

Please tell me you have a fuel pressure regulator. If you dont thats your problem.

I would say that adjusting your TPS and fuel pressure would fix your problem. A little tuning goes a long way with speed density.

Yes I have a fuel pressure regulator, it is a Paxton and I also have a 90 lph fuel pump. Sorry I should have mentioned that bedore. Hey if you have any tips on adjusting speed density I am definetly interested.

Run an EEC test, I'm thinking TPS is out of range? Chris? what do ya think?

Thanks for your help, no one knew what I was talking about when I asked for the prts that you folks recommedned so I decided to make my own. I just tok a bolt cut it down drilled a hole into it and tried it seems to work just fine. Can I have your opinions on my "fix". I used loc tite to hold the bolt and nut in place.

If it works, it's an excellent fix. For future reference, the service kit from Ford is part number F0PZ-9F652-A. It includes Go/No-Go gauge pegs and colored plugs.
