6 speed Richmond Gear Tranny??
I am in the market for a new tranny and dont want to go with the stock T5.(seen too many of my friends buying rebuilt T5s over and over and over again)Anyway, I as ready to buy a tremec TR3550 when I read in Mustang Performance handbook about a 6 speedRichmond Gear R.O.D tranny. Any experience with these and Do you think it would be worth the extra $$$? What has to modified to install one? Pros and Cons? Thanks for any help.

Costs about $3000 and is pretty much bulletproof. I've heard it's a nice piece, though, never driven one but if had money, I'd have one in my car.

Well, I dont really have the money but Ill save up for one if thats the best possibiility. I whole plan has changed anyway. I bought just the body and a block for the purposes of just rebuilding the motor to a 306 but pretty much leaving it stock for a daily driver with pep. But then THE REAL ME kicked in and now I want it to be a pretty quick driver. I have to get alot for the engine still and I have to get a tranny anyway so why not go all out if its better for the long run. Thanks for your input.
