Default Ignition miss at 2100 RPM's

The other day I changed the points, rotor and cap on my car. I also tuned it up good. The timing is set at 12* and it idles smooth and runs great. The only problem is that when the engine reaches 2100 RPM's the ignition misses. You can realy feel it if you accelerate through 2100, only if you try and hold it there then it misses real bad. The only reason I noticed it was because my car turns 2100 at exactly 55mph. The strangest thing is the engine will run fine at any other RPM even 2200 all the way through 5000. I am stumped any ideas would be apreciated.

I don't believe that it's an ignition problem. I think it's a fuel delivery problem, probably in the transition circuit in the carb. How does it run WOT and at other engine speeds?

i had a similar problem before because of a bad pcv valve. If you have a tach watch what the rpm does as it passes 2000. on mine after you past 2000 the rpm would drop back to 1800 and i would have to press the gas more to get it up to highter rpm. This was because of the bad pcv valve. it threw off the fuel air mix. so my suggestion is to check for vaccume leaks. espcially in the pcv valve. good luck

also do you have the timing advance canister on the dis. connected? try disconnecting it and plugging the port on the car and see if it still missis at 2100.

Thanks for all of the suggestions I have been busy this weekend and have not gotten a chance to reply. I did find the problem though, one of my vacuume caps had gotten dry and cracked just enough to cause a small vacuue leak.
