To do it right, you need to remove the front and rear windshield. The headliner wraps around the flange that the window seals mount to. When removing the existing headliner, make note of the holes that the rods go into. There are usually 2 holes that near where the rod goes. Install the screws for holding the visor shades, rear view mirror, etc. prior to placing the headliner. This way you can feel where these are located to cut small holes.
Prior to starting, warm the headliner so it is pliable. Make sure you have the rods in the right order. Read the instructions and follow the instructions for the glue. Start in the back-center, put the glue on and attach with a spring clip or a piece of windlace. Work to the front keeping the material tight. Do the C pillars last.
