Default hood pins

i have decided to get hood pins and i was wondering if there hard to put on. i have the stormin normin hood on my 89 mustang and if anyone has done them especially on this or any other cervini hoods. i was wondering if you use the grease method and you drill on top of that what are the chances the pin wont go through the same exact hole? i just want to know if this is something i can do myself?

Thanks Alot

Default Moroso kit...

I used the Moroso kit...they mounted directly to the rubber stopper mounts on the top rail...

Took me 20 minutes to install on my 3" fiberglass hood.

I'll post pics if you need 'em.

Later

We put hood pins pn my little bros car.. we used tape though... We raised the hood and taped across the whole front of the car how far back on the hood we wanted the pins.. then we taped on the headlights how far from center we wanted them, ( making sure that the two strips of tape met on the radiator support.. then we closed the hood nad put tape on the hood thta matched the tape side to side.. and front to back. where the tape met we drilled right in the center ( used 1 inch masking tape ) and the holes lined up perfectedly.. Hres the end results. This is also a Cervinis Hood.

I used grease and it worked out great. Mine was on a CC hood not a Cervanis

I was thinking about getting hood pins for the '79 b/c whe I get up past 80-90mph, the 'glass hood starts vibrating and I would hate for it to come up into the windshield. But hey, the stock hook should hold it shouldn't it? I guess having some pins would give added protection and piece of mind....
